Recently, I have been trying to gather pop/smtp accounts located in other
nations. My most recent attempts have been with two French services I
learned about here on the list. Both worked smoothly, although the use of
AltaVista's Babelfish translator (in a seperate window) helped this
non-French speaker quite a bit.
The first service was:
Laposte.net
There really weren't many details that I could find on the list, so I just
tried some standard setups and everything seemed to work fine. This one
seems to use pop before smtp authentication...
Registration: www.laposte.net
pop3: pop.laposte.net
smtp: smtp.laposte.net
The second was:
m6net.fr
Registration: http://www.m6net.fr/abonnes/inscription/index_inscription.htm
pop3 : pop.m6net.fr
smtp : mail.m6net.fr
Both have worked well for me so far - I prefer the 2nd as it has the .fr
domain... :)
Just thought these might warrant a "re-mention" since it's been a while
since they were discussed here.
