/me looks up! Actually I'm sufficiently tragic that I hoard
everything, and I've got at least "most" of the posts to popjourno from
May 11th, 1728 of the little souls, bar a few I missed when
Majordomo.net did the dirty on Sinister as it did to Popjourno. Alex -
it is actually possible to post backdated mails to mail-archive I did
it with Sinister! It's a blighter to get right though and would
require a lot of fiddling: you have to ensure that the dates are the
old one and not the new ones, and that the list doesn't fragment into
two on the old address. The information is on www.mail-archive.com
in the FAQ.
If you *really* want to pursue this, be really careful! The only way
I've done it is via a Unix shell script. If you get it wrong you can't
wipe out your mistakes - Jeff who runs it is a kind soul but you can
imagine he can't mop up everyone's mess. I do have access to the
server directly so I could help - if everyone's crying out for it, then
tug my arm, but it would take a few hours. What you need to do it is a
full mailbox I think with full headers on each mail, Unix mailbox
style.
I think this qualifies as talking about the list on the list, so I'll
