The news on Elastica is good - I was at www.NME.com
today, and there's an article where Justine Frischmann
goes through the **NEW** Elastica album track by
track. One of the songs is even about Damon Albarn! A
reply to 13 (particularly "No Distance Left to Run")
perhaps?
I saw Weezer's Buddy Holly video a couple of days ago
- God I miss that band!!! I have no idea what they're
doing now unfortunately.
OK... completely unrelated things....
I hear Nash from Urge Overkill has a solo album coming
out - is it out yet?
In the face of possible disagreement - I think the new
Cure album is very good!
Anyone have any thoughts on The Charlatans' "Us and Us
Only"?? - I only got it yesterday, but I am soooooo
impressed. Not only Stones influenced this time -
there's a little Bob Dylan (circa Blonde on Blonde) in
there too!!
And the Lucksmiths played here in Sydney a week ago
after a long European tour - very impressive!! It's
good to have them home.
Oh, and are any Popjournians writing books?? I am at
the moment, and it would be great to get in touch with
some like minded people to help get over writer's
block and stuff.
