HANNA, thank you for the wonderfully positive and romantic thoughts. They
were comforting to ponder. Secondly, of the plethora of artists spoken of
here, one group I can't recall being discussed are the Pooh Sticks. They are
great!! I was listening to "The Great White Wonder" while at my terribly
mundane job today. Pop heaven!! That disc goes back to '91 or so. It just
sounds so,"poppin' fresh"............hehehe. I also listened to the
brilliant sounds of L.A.'s Possum Dixon, & the half forgotten Trashcan
Sinatras. Good stuff, Maynard. One more matter I would like to touch on.
Good luck to Alan McGee, founder of Creation Records, and man responsible
for bringing us some of the greatest albums ever created, (My Bloody
Valentine, Jesus & Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, etc., etc., etc.). He has
retired from the business. The new Select mag has a good cover story on this
issue. His labels' records have been a big part of my life, I thank him for
them. I hope whoever tries to fill his shoes can continue to put out such
brilliant product. O.k. enough from me, I have to get ready for
work,.......................... I believe the expression is ACK!!!
Have a whimsically beautiful day.
xoxoxo, frankie.
" When, she lies with me, will she forget I'm ugly, will she pretend I'm
pretty..."-from my fave Hefner song, "Stole a Pretty Bride".
