hullo list... i really like the discussion that is going on right now.... it certainly reminds me of the backstreet boys/britney spears one from a while back. but i think this one is different too. i've always thought that it is not elitist to listen to music with recort numbers like 001 and 002. however, it's elitist when this prevents people from trying to find good music out of the mainstream as well. i think that there should be elements we look for in ALL music that makes it good. whether it is indie or not should be secondary, or not matter at all. anyway, on another note, i've finally been introduced to Oscar Wilde. this is my spring break, and instead of staying up late into the night doing homework or procrastinating the doing of my homework, i've been reading him. i started with "A Picture of Dorian Gray" and then read two of his other stories: the ghost of canterville, and lord arthur somethingorothers crime. i LOVE him. i wonder why on earth i didn't discover him earlier in my life. i was just wondering if any of you have anything to say about him. what are his other great works? etc. etc. well, my mother (i'm on spring break, remember) is hounding me off of the computer so i can go get a cavity filled. so, off i go to the cold dentist chair. i hate dentists.
