the hippest part of town? well, if you say so...
there are lots of lovely things to do in montreal. for indie rock shows
jailhouse is the main venue, but we don't get good shows very often. for
indie rock music, head up st. denis between des pins and mt. royal to find
a bunch of great record stores - le pickup, disquivel, etc. l'oblique is ok
too (1 block east of st. denis at marie-anne). in the same stretch there's
also Chu Chai, a great vegetarian Thai restaurant if a bit pricey. there's
much more too. email me direct if you are looking to find anything
specific...
