the hippest part of town? well, if you say so...
Well, OK! You're probably right on that detail! It changes a lot from year to year and
from social microcosm to social microcosm... (by the way, anyone remembers which
magazine made the Plateau in Montreal the 4th coolest "quartier" in North America,
after
soho and sf, i think????...just curious of the source!)

About indie music, you should also check Cheap Thrills on Metcalfe Street (Peel
station). L'oblique is ok, but it is slowly moving out of indie music to concentrate on
Electroacoustic music and avantgarde stuff. Disquivel is on St-Laurent street
(St-Laurent station)
There is also a great "salon de th" (translation : tea saloon??? tea shop??? help!)
lower on St-Denis, near the downtown cinema, which offers aromatic teas and "narguiles"
(water pipes with aromatic tobacco). Email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more details...
