>Reading a lot of books about film. At the moment trying to battling Gilles
>Deleuze's Image I. Can anyone say if Thousand Plateaus (or in French "Mille
>Plateaux") is any good?

A must read (and inspired the passable record label too).

Anyway saw most of Jubilee last night. A film by
>Derek Jarman with some punk-musicians in it. I think I noticed a very young
>Adam Ant in there.

You did. And minor (pardon the pun) scenester extraordinaire, Jordan
(well-cited in Savage's tome on London punk).

Me and music? Can't get enough of that German scene at the moment, with
Chicks on Speed, Remixen die Welttraumforscher (hurray for Nova Huta and
Schlammpeitziger), Felix Kubin, a wonderful Swiss comp. Maiko 002 (songs
in German and English), B. Fleischmann (Pop Loops for Breakfast), Voices in
My Lunchbox comp., Console, Santa Monika (out of season, I know, but if you
saw Montreal two weeks ago, it would seem so odd), Fucky Don't comp. and
G.D. Luxxe in any shape or form. I really can't explain it, but I found
myself increasingly bored by straight up guitar rock and find the more
experimental pop side of things more intriguing. And of course I'm
grooving on the new Raymond Scott double CD comp. Manhattan Research Inc.
(which comes from a label in Belgium, I believe). Best music to eat
Twinkies and dream of the future to.

Bored by the new Primal Scream. They've never really surpassed
Screamadelica in my mind.

Reading? Don't ask.

Writing? Don't ask.

Finally unsubbed from the indiepop list after five years. Funny how things
change - or don't for that matter....Much prefer the discussion here so far.

That's it.

Geoff
