Okay, as Alex begged for posts, here's another. I'm currently on a mission
to battle my Hitchcock obsession. A good solution seemed to transfer it to
Kubrick. Hahah. So I was watching Dr Strangelove. Although I haven't
understood the entire plot (too tired from work), I must say I enjoyed it
very much! Also the way music was used. I'm reading a bio on Kubrick and it
seems the man was a jazzdrummer, like Peter Sellers who stars in Dr
Strangelove (and Lolita).
Anyway still reading (and trying to understand) "Image I". Also reading a
book on 20th century history written by Conrad. Very interesting the way he
can relate everything, even politics with new hairstyles.
Does anyone like Stochkhausen, Xenakis or Varese around here? Still
listening to a lot of Dr John's Gris Gris. Saw him in concert and wow the
man can dance great!
Has anyone tried to way their records? Just a joke... but bloody hell they
do weigh a ton.
