I�m glad to hear that you�re not too disappointed by
the Weeping willows.
And still - now that I listened to the album 5000
times (okay, not really) - I think that it�s one of
the best CDs I was ever allowed to own.
When I first listened to them I felt the same like
listening to The Smiths or to the Field Mice for the
first time - it simply hit me, I sat just there and
couldn�t believe how wonderful this music is.
Well, yes, it�s definitely true that they can remind
one of others. As I said: To me it sounds like Divine
Comedy and Rialto record some stuff together and Elvis
or Scott Walker are the singers.
But I love it!
By the way: The Weeping willows would be the perfect
soundtrack for a melancholic evening, spent alone with
Goethes "Die Leiden des jungen Werther" and a bottle
of wine.
Something completely different: It�s a bit
ebarrassing, but has anyone (from the Europeans) seen
the "Grand Prix de la chanson" on TV?
I did, and I really felt like that band from Letvia
(called Brainstorm) is pretty cool.
I hear their single was released (in Germany) today.
