I just saw this Japanese trio last night.
They were brilliant.
3 girls on Bass, Guitar and Drums and POWERFUL VOCALS--bordering on
Opera-like tendencies. Their set opened with a tape of the girls
singing Brecht's "Alabama Song" as they approached the crowd. They
seemed to be influenced by Ghost/Liu Sola/John Zorn. Noise
Guitar/Psych/and booming voices. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
They're playing in NYC tonight at Tonic and Tomorrow night at the
Mercury Bar.
Catch them if you can.
