Re: [popjourno] Napster RIP

Concerning Napster, i was shocked at first, but then i was quite happy to realize
that the whole thing brought forward ideas i've been promoting for years... like
Boycotting RIAA labels or promoting independant label and musicians. All of a
sudden its everywhere on the frontpage of all online newspapers...So maybe its a
good thing on the long run. I mean, exposing the majors for what they are,
Negativland as tried to do it for decades, but always to limited audience, now im
glad the question goes mainstream... Years ago, it was the same sharks from the
RIAA that sued Negativland for using "the letter U, and the numero 2"...

I never got the point about the industry "losing money for every song
downloaded", like money was created ex nihilo. What i could spent on records, i
had always spent, and napster never changed anything about it...its all virtual
money they're talking about.
