Just a final note, before reporting the issue. Thanks to https://github.com/latex3/hyperref/issues/335 and veraPDF Arlington, I see that a pure signature field may have a complete widget annotation. The only issue is that `pdfsig` (and “Okular”) sign the document wrong, by adding `/V` to the widget annotation object (Arlington complains), instead of the signature field (where it belongs). This causes “Acrobat” not being able to display the signature at all, only an empty unsigned field. I’m reporting this as an issue. Many thanks for your patience and help, Pablo
