Hi dear friends!
I'm Ashil, and I just got an email yesterday from Avaaz asking me to be a
facilitator for our event.
Thank you all for caring and be courageous enough to volunteer for this amazing
global event.
I've been asked to organize a planning meeting for our event. I am yet to know
how many us have volunteered but we need to meet ASAP (in less than a week) to
plan our event so that Avaaz can tell people in our area about it. I would like
to have your suggestions before deciding on the place and time for holding the
meeting since we might not be living/working close to each other and not be
available at the same time.
Avaaz's agenda for us is to: a) do some intros and say things we're grateful
for b) go over a few principles of working together - like kindness, trust and
being focused on our goal,etc.. c) plan where to have our climate event, and
whether we want to do anything in addition to the Avaaz plan of delivering the
petition and taking a photo.
Hope that sounds good - very excited about this! Please let me know if you can
make it, or if you can't but would like to stay involved. If you respond to

Dear Avaaz volunteers,
Thanks so much for stepping up and offering to help organise our climate
mobilisation on September 21st! This email connects you to the other volunteers
in your community.
Avaazers are pretty great people in general, but we've found that those of you
who are also willing to volunteer your time are especially lovely! We've asked
one of you to help everyone by facilitating, and they should be emailing you
soon to introduce themselves and give you a sense of next steps.
Email is a pretty simple tool, but it's also powerful. Use it wisely to
connect, encourage each other, and scheme, and you can change the world with

PS - Don't worry, your email address hasn't been given to anyone else, but if
