Too much copied from your donor port. Here's a cleaned up version which is ok with me. - fix MODPY_PYBUILD (check pyproject.toml) - remove the bits related to the compiled extension, this is pure Python - remove bogus @pkgpath marker - replace DESCR - remove CVS directories
