Then I do not need to port in Apache-Test? Right?

I will definitely do this. I am finding the Makefile confusing to
compose.

Assuming I can skip Apache-Test, I have these questions.

cat /etc/mk.conf

PORTS_PRIVSEP=Yes
PORT_USER=xxxx
SUDO=sudo -E
FETCH_PACKAGES=-Dsnap

.include "/usr/ports/infrastructure/templates/mk.conf.template"

Is PORTS_PRIVSEP Ok?

apache-module.port.mk seems somewhat understandable.

p5-libapreq2/Makefile seems to possibly be helpful.
Is the variety of MODPERL_REGEN_PPPORT in that Makefile on the right track?

I'm not quite ready to ask good questions just yet. But the above would
be very helpful. I tried copy/paste of some possibly useful stuff from
several ports, but I can't get make build to get past the same error as
soon as it looks into the test area.

As usual, copy/paste was a waste of time. :-}

I appreciate the help.
