DESCR:
<<<
Filter scripts used by the printer spoolers to convert the incoming
PostScript data into the printer's native format using a printer/driver
specific, but spooler-independent PPD file.

Note: The main filter, foomatic-rip, can use several different
programs/packages to prepare input for printing. For example, text can
be converted to PostScript with a2ps, mpage, enscript, or if CUPS is
installed, texttops. Also, if the printer being used does not
understand PostScript, ghostscript may also be used.

For this reason, it is highly recommended to read the foomatic
documentation and edit ${SYSCONFDIR}/foomatic/filter.conf.

this software has a lot of soft dependencies; it depends
on several packages, depending on how it is used. so,
instead of arbitrarily choosing a default setup (which
will never be 100% correct for all possible situations), I
decided to just explain the situation in DESCR. is that OK
or is there a better way?
