Hmm, can't tell you exactly about that, but i played a lot with lmtp in
3.7, so at least i can say it worked for me on i386 and sparc64.

This clearly sounds to me like the broken version, update to newest
patchlevel and retry again... maybe will solve the lmtp problem too(?).
