I haven't done any testing on OpenBSD yet, but I've used Adblock Plus and other extensions on FF 1.6a1, you just have to look for their devel versions. If your favorite extension isn't updated yet, just unpack the xpi file (it's a zip file) and edit the .rdf (text file) to change the "acceptable version" range.
