Just to add that this also happens with Kontact *sometimes*, ie it runs just fine from a terminal window but segfaults if launched from KDE itself. I upped ulimits quite a bit but it still happens. $ ulimit -a time(cpu-seconds) unlimited file(blocks) unlimited coredump(blocks) unlimited data(kbytes) 524288 stack(kbytes) 24000 lockedmem(kbytes) unlimited memory(kbytes) unlimited nofiles(descriptors) 1024 processes 532 --- Lars Hansson
