As mentioned in the original mail,  an amd64 asks an i386 to run the app.

Anyway, i ran 
$ xhost  +i386.host
 before  
$ ssh -fY i386.host amule 
and it works here now, so this can be closed. 
My mistake, sorry for the noise.
