You have to setup stuff manually so that the right config option is stored in the right file. I haven't had time to actually provide a graphical dialog to edit that option, and I'm not even 100% sure where I'm going to do the editing part... Ideally, it would be in the kdesu dialog, but that means somewhat extensive changes to kdelibs' internals...
