This will make the fping probe not work by default since fping needs to be either suid root or run by root to work. The default probe should work out of the box, imho. The config file sets the pid dir to /var/run/smokeping. That's not a good idea since /var/run gets wiped on boot and the smokeping dir wont exist. basepage.html and smokemail are both in /usr/local/share/examples/smokeping and in /etc/smokeping. The config file uses the ones in /usr/local. Either dont put them in /etc or make the config file use /etc. --- Lars Hansson
