Well, sometimes mpd stops accepting clients (after changing the network, unpluging the cable for a few seconds, or even without a known cause). I've not managed to track this bug down to an exact location in the code, but had about four people telling me that 127.0.0.1 helps. The last one was a private reply to this patch. The behaviour is not easily reproducable. My thinking goes that when localhost is unresolvable, it hangs on a blocking syscall forever. Tobias
