Jasper, Mikolaj Kucharski and I have recently started (again) updating
our really outdated Gnome stuff.
Feel free to fetch ports that we have updated/created sofar:

There is not too much to test yet, only platform section from Gnome FTP
site but hey, it took us only two days to prepare that stuff, so desktop
section is expected to be ready within a week or so!
Anyways, we would love to hear from you if ports that we have prepared
sofar build fine on your machines.
Moreover, new Gnome requires recent GTK+2 version that is also included
in mystuff-gnome tarball. If you don't want to test Gnome then at least
please test new GTK+ with your favourite gtk-based applications.
