The ability to go back-and-forth was part of pkg_add We can't do that with the new firmware tooling because it doesn't track what it is doing, it would probably add 50% more goop to the script. I like deterministic. sysupgrade doesn't know how to go backwards and forwards either. Paging florian to give a rant ;-)
