Oh, come on. You want to run -current and don't know how to check
wether xbase is installed?
And did you know that you have to use a -current xenocara due to
the latest changes especially wrt expat (which is exactly your
problem)? Or use the xbase from snapshots, I just noticed that
they've been updated yesterday.
