Ok, here is an updated tarball with some polishing and fixes.
It *should* work as advertised, unfortunately I do not have any HP hardware to test this on :(
Thank to Darrin Chandler and Marc Winiger for their feedback.Please test this if you don't want your printer/scanner to stop working when this gets imported (it might even help you make your non-working printer/scanner actually works). Thanks.
