It seems to pull in libpoppler, if installed (noticed here when
running make update-plist for a check).
An easy workaround would be to either configure --without-poppler
or to add it to the dependencies.
However, I'm a little bit scared, since the detection of poppler
doesn't show in my build log during the configure stage, but only
during the build stage. So your update may need some careful checks
for more possible hidden dependencies.
