Thanks, Brad. You got to this more quickly than I did. I see you added the
archs that have received attention from zig with this release. I do not have
hardware to test, but if someone does that could report back I would appreciate
it. The short list is mips64, powerpc64 and risk64. We currently mark powerpc64
as broken and if that can change it would be good to know.
Do you plan on upstreaming the lld changes that we are patching? If not I can
submit a patch sometime soon.
The second hunk regarding the PIE handling has already been pushed
upstream and has been committed.
The first hunk IMO is a local patch I'll leave it there.
I sent an updated diff as it looks like the issue with PowerPC64 should
have been fixed quite a few years ago.
I also tried out sparc64, it's broken. I filed a bug report. There is a
pending patch set but I'll test that after this goes in.
mips64 and riscv64 both have some level of support upstream, and I’d
like to see where things stand as-is.
At any rate, OK by me. I've tested several of my zig projects here and they
appear to work the same as before. I'll leave it up to you to wait to hear back
about those additional architectures.
