Hi, To make wine more easily and widely usable, fabien@ put together this port which I'm offering with his permission to add to ports.
It includes winetricks, a well known script that can be used to add/fix things that might be missing to execute some Windows programs. It also includes a custom script 'wine-steam' which installs Steam in the WINEPREFIX and then can also be used to launch it from there. There is a important thing to take care of for wine-steam: its process opens an unusually high amount of files. I wasn't able to run it with openfiles of 1024, and it required adjusting my login.conf(5) class to allow for 2048 openfiles for this to succeed. I've been able to log into Steam and download Elite Dangerous through it. And the game also works by the way. ok?
