So... What is your question?

Should it use nspr/nss? Yes, because it's easier for me to maintain.
The newer version of nspr 4.7.3 also fixes bugs that i wanted to be
fixed. There are no interface changes for 4.7.1 <=> 4.7.3.

Is there any real issue with that? Could you also provide patch?

According to the bugzilla link you've provided Mozilla wants to ship
firefox with nspr 4.7.3; however only talk happened...

Apologies if I wasn't clear.. but I was referring to the version of
nss used by 3.0.5, it's newer then the version in the ports tree..
3.12.2 (rc1) vs 3.12, so far the only way to retreive it is CVS.

When the firefox port is updated.. will it continue using nss 3.12? or
will you have to roll a manual release?

Sorry.
