Here's an update to version 2.6.0 of sylpheed. I've talked with ajacoutot@ and he said to me to try here first because he's busy. Some patches are not needed anymore (they have been incorporated upstream).
The best way tro try:
# cp -r /usr/ports/mail/sylpheed /usr/ports/mail/sylpheed.1
# cd /usr/ports/mail/sylpheed.1
# rm patches/patch-src* patches/patch-libsylph_{mbox_c,smtp_h}
# patch -p0 < sylpheed_patch
Remove the old one:
# pkg_delete sylpheed
And them build this port as usual.
Working fine here on amd64.
