I've never tracked -current.  How much bandwidth and how much compiling
time does it tend to take?

As for backporting security updates, I'm not a C guru; I'm barely C
litterate yet alone a C programmer.

I only have the phone for about an hour a day, and the computer for a
couple of hours.  I don't want to spend all that time just keeping the
system up-to-date and not getting any real work done.
