Eric, attached is a starting point if you -- or someone else -- want to finish the work to get balsa ported over. The patches are quick hacks to get it to compile (so you'll need to investigate why it doesn't compile and fix properly) and dependencies need to be set up. Probably needs other things as well... for example, libesmtp not currently included. Attached work is otherwise completely untested so use at your own risk...
