I am trying to port Apache::AuthCookie.
I can easily get it to pass the tests if I use
t/TEST -user www -group www -verbose -chroot
from the pobj directory.

It wants to run as user:group nobody:nobody.
Apache::Test says to just use -user -group options to override, that works.

I can't seem to get APACHE_TEST_USER and APACHE_TEST_GROUP to carry through to
t/TEST during make regress.
But I have no trouble getting APACHE_TEST_STARTUP_TIMEOUT and TEST_VERBOSE to
carry through.
I have tried REGRESS_FLAGS, REGRESS_ENV, MAKE_ENV.
env APACHE_TEST_GROUP=www APACHE_TEST_USER=www make regress
make APACHE_TEST_GROUP=www APACHE_TEST_USER=www regress

REGRESS_FLAGS=          APACHE_TEST_USER=www \
                        APACHE_TEST_GROUP=www
Passes to t/TEST, but they don't actually work.

However
 REGRESS_FLAGS=         APACHE_TEST_STARTUP_TIMEOUT=10 \
                        TEST_VERBOSE=1

Do pass through fine and work.
TEST_VERBOSE=1TEST_VERBOSE=1 gives -verbose=1
APACHE_TEST_STARTUP_TIMEOUT=10 gives shorter startup timeout.

Advice?
