Hi,

soon I will give another try to Pidgin-sipe on OpenBSD how it works with our Lync 2010/2013 infrastructure as it had always issues and was not able to connect, but maybe you will find following info useful somewhat.

Our company is investing some efforts in to improve SIPE in Pidgin to be able to use calls or sharing of desktop. Not sure how far are they with that now, but there's git available https://github.com/tieto . Other and maybe even more promising path which they are looking as alternative is this one:

Wync / Fisl.com

A large Telecom company in Sweden are working together with Fisil to create Wync for Linux.

You can download and test Wync for IPhone... search for "Wync for Lync" in app store.

The following features are working today on Wync for Linux:

    Chat
    VoIP phone calls
    Video (Linux to Linux)
    Screen sharing (Linux to Linux)
    Application sharing (Linux to Linux)

Fisil and the Swedish telecom company are working on Video, Screen sharing and Application sharing to make this work between Linux and Windows. They think this should be fixed within one or two months.
