Since the move from 39.0 to 40.0, and lately 41.0, Firefox has become
unbearable slow/unrepsonsive on my Thinkpad T500. See dmesg below.
I'm running out of ideas for what to try here. Running with or without
extensions, running in safe mode, creating new profiles, experimenting
with various login.conf and sysctl parameters - nothing helps. Is
Firefox now simply demanding more resources than my old dual core, 4GB
machine from 2009 can offer it, or have I missed some new requirements
documented somewhere?
