This has 61 direct dependencies, 284 with direct+indirect, and the changelog between those two versions includes "Note that this might cause new exceptions in existing code. Please take time for extra testing before deploying to production." So it needs way more testing than just running "make test" of DBI itself (really looking for "make test" of dependent ports before+after as well and see what changes) and it's a bad time in the release cycle for doing this work. If there's decent testing in the meantime, shortly after the unlock following 6.3 release would be a good time to look at getting this committed.
