That would be Linford Detweiler and Karen Bergquist. If I remember right -
I don't pay real close attention, for reasons that should be self-evident -
Over The Rhine, a Cincinnati-based band (it's the name of an old
neighborhood), busted up a year or two ago. They had four or five albums
out, about which I can tell you virtually nothing, but in some roundabout
way, Linford and Karen hooked up with Cincinnati's bluegrass/jazz diva Katie
Laur, and Karen's done some singing with Katie, in whose band I've worked on
and off for the last half-dozen years; they appeared on a live edition of
Katie's weekly bluegrass-and-more radio show at Northern Kentucky University
the year before last, which is where I met them. They did a good job, in a
faintly twangy kind of way.

If you want info on the band, you could do worse than to search the
Cincinnati Enquirer's website (though you'll generate a lot of hits related
to the neighborhood, not the band) at http://cincinnati.com . If Purcell
were around he could bend your ear, I've no doubt.
