Haven't heard the CD yet but I'd consider this good good news. I've long felt
that Westerberg lost the ability to rock, and that the only time he really
excelled in recent years was with the quiet and melancholy. In fact, I always
dreamed that maybe he'd make a record alone with just a ratty acoustic guitar
and his ratty voice. That might be something special. So, regardless of
advanced warning from some trustworthy folks giving this album a thumbs down,
I'll be the eternal optimist until learning otherwise.
