To fill you in on this, the accident occurred on I-95 here in R.I. on a pretty
bad, black ice night (I was going to make the trip to Boston that night to see
the Old 97s, but thought better of it). RJ was heading to Providence for a
gig at the Met Cafe. Anyway, the guy who skidded into their van was a former
member of the URI hoop team. Looked like he was going to pull through, but
took a turn for the worse over the weekend and passed away on Monday. Pretty
sad stuff in these parts.
