Hi NC/SC Americana Fans: It's time for the weekly update for Charlotte, NC's weekly dose of Americana - the Showcase happens each Tuesday night - 9:00 PM - at Charlotte's Coolest music room - The Double Door Inn. This week - Tuesday, April 20th Willy Evans Trio will host with featured guest Michelle Willson. Michelle's latest release, on Bullseye Blues & Jazz, is "tryin' to make a little love". Backed by a group of New Orleans & New England based musicians, the new effort proves that Michelle is one of the best R&B-based singers on the scene today. Moving from deep soul to the jump blues sound for which she's known, Michelle makes songs come alive with feeling, exquisite interpretation and breathtaking vocal technique.
