Forgot to mention. I think the PDF manual on postgis site is still the 1.2.1 series (hmm actually it looks like the 1.0 since the one I have marked 1.2.1 is newer), but definitely older than the online manual.
http://postgis.refractions.net/docs/postgis.pdf This one is definitely 1.2.1 http://www.pnine.org/postgis/manual_1_2_1.pdf Anyrate as I mentioned I think for the most part you will be fine using the new online version and for the rare occassions where you are not e.g using box2d, box3d instead of st_box2d st_box3d, just strip off the st_ Hope that helps, Regina -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Obe, Regina Sent: Monday, June 11, 2007 7:58 AM To: PostGIS Users Discussion Subject: RE: [postgis-users] postgis 1.2.1 manual Hi Stefan, In the 1.2.1 release these new names did exist and mapped to the old names. In the 1.2.2 release - the old names will still exist, but are intentionally left out of the documentation presumabley to prevent confusion and to stop the use of the old names which will be eventually deprecated and removed further down the road. If you use this new documentation for your current development, you should be just fine.
