I'm sorry! This is a pre-release version exclusive under VMWare format image. I believe GISVM will be initially for MAC/Windows users where VMWare is, in my opinion, the oldest and best "player" on the market. And btw, "VMWare Player" is Free and Open Source: http://www.vmware.com/download/open_source.html Nevertheless I believe that a "Standard Format" is the best solution and the future release format for GISVM. As you probably know, VMWare and XEN are working on the OVF format for a long time and probably will be the industry standard in a near future: http://www.dmtf.org/newsroom/pr/view?item_key=3b542cbc5e6fc9ede97b9336c29f4c342c02c4e9 I never tried it in KVM, but I have seen several posts about using successfully vmdk in KVM. If you find a solution, please tell me about it!!!
