Devrim, Do they ship other versions or just that? For my EL5 installs, I just use the Yum repository you set up and would encourage others using EL5 to do that since I would never think of using PostgreSQL 8.1. We'll still be supporting 1.3 on 8.1 but there is no way we are going to keep on supporting 8.1 for another 5 years with newer PostGIS releases.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is shipping PostgreSQL 8.1 -- and it will be supported by Red Hat for 5 more years. So IMHO you should really consider about those users. (We have some customers that are using 8.1, but it is not that important) -- Devrim GÜNDÜZ, RHCE Command Prompt - http://www.CommandPrompt.com devrim~gunduz.org, devrim~PostgreSQL.org, devrim.gunduz~linux.org.tr http://www.gunduz.org _______________________________________________ postgis-users mailing list [email protected] http://postgis.refractions.net/mailman/listinfo/postgis-users
