Hallo Andreas May I guess you are running the trunk version.
I think it is related to tichet #808 http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/808 One workaround is described in the ticket by creating the .sql file without any encoding parameters and then change the first row of the sql file to SET CLIENT_ENCODING TO LATIN1; before running it in psql Another workaround is using an older skp2pgsql to create the sql-file. PostGIS will load it in PostGIS 2 format anyway.
