Yes, no and maybe.  You haven't given sufficient information about your
environment to provide any informed advice.

What is your raster2pgsql command?

Are you piping the output from raster2pgsql directly to psql?  Or
loading from a file containing the output?

What OS?  PostgreSQL version?
