Sorry, catching up on old post...

In current version of pipe plugin, there is only one pipe and one
instance of it possible at any moment, but since it's
message-oriented, many sources can connect to it, send a message, then
disconnect.

I'm not entirely sure what happens when one message source attempts to
grab the listening pipe and send a message to it when pipe is being
written to at that same instance by some other message source. All
depends how this command works on a busy pipe:

 HANDLE hPipe=CreateFile(pszPipeNameFull,
   GENERIC_WRITE, // type of access to the object
   FILE_SHARE_READ | FILE_SHARE_WRITE,  // how the object can be
                                        //shared
   NULL,                                // p SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES
                                        //  structure;
                                        // whether the returned
                                        // structure; handle can be
                                        // inherited by child proce
   OPEN_EXISTING, // which action to take on files that exist
   FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL, // file attributes and flags;
   FILE_FLAG_OVERLAPPED possible
                         NULL); // handle to file with attributes to
copy

But my impression is it should work ok.

Since pipe plugion assumes input is a PP command, surely you don;t
really need events?

Each console sends a string which _is_ the appropriate PP command?
Or are your console apps not configurable to send strings that look
like PP commands?
