I have switched back to userinit in the latest powerprotray.zip.
I have also found a problem which could lead to PowerPro losing an
icon (but not the button) whilst PowerPro tray kept it -- I think
these were the symptoms you experienced.
The latest poweprotray.zip also includes fix for trayicon leftdouble
problem and a pproconf.exe which allows you to gray-check "use last
button for active setup" which you need to do if you want to override
commands for tray buttons. LastActiveHandle is set to window and
LastActiveTray to 1 iff last active button pressed was tray icon.
I have not tried to fixed the trained icon problem; I will have a
quick look at some point but I am not going to put a lot of time into
supporting trained icons.
If you do download, please pprotray from RunOnce before installing.
